Is food too sweet? Big data research shows consumers find many products to be over-sweetened

Conducted by researchers at the Monell Center, a non-profit independent scientific research institute in Philadelphia, the study   ​(published in the journal of  Physiology & Behavior ​ ​ ​) examined 393,568 unique food reviews of 67,553 products posted by 256,043 Amazon customers over a 10-year period using data posted on an open-source data science site.

Ice, ice, baby: Froneri pegs indulgence and premiumization as key trends in ice cream sector

27 Mar 2019 — The market for indulgent, adult ice cream is booming, according to ice cream company Froneri, Europe’s second largest manufacturer of ice cream, which is eyeing opportunities in the space. Operating in more than 20 countries, Froneri is a license partner of Nestlé and Mondelēz and has launched a premium ice cream stick for UK and European markets called Nuii, which their company says “offers a new experience, which we expect our European consumers to love.”
